Using BuildMode

BuildMode provides weight-loss support tools for planning, logging, AI coaching, Tribe features, reminders, and progress review. By using BuildMode, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

Not Medical Care

BuildMode is not a medical provider, clinic, dietitian, therapist, or emergency service. BuildMode does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent disease and does not provide medical, nutritional, psychological, or medication advice.

Talk with a qualified clinician before starting or changing a weight-loss, nutrition, fasting, exercise, or behavior program if you have a medical condition, take medication, are pregnant or postpartum, have a history of eating disorder, feel dizzy or unwell, or plan aggressive restriction.

No Guaranteed Results

BuildMode does not guarantee weight loss, health outcomes, body-composition changes, maintenance, or any specific result. Results depend on many factors, including your choices, consistency, health, environment, and clinician guidance.

AI Coaching

BuildMode uses AI-generated coaching. AI output may be inaccurate, incomplete, outdated, or inappropriate for your situation. You are responsible for evaluating suggestions and choosing whether to act on them. Do not use BuildMode for emergencies or urgent medical decisions.

Accounts and Security

You are responsible for your account activity and for keeping your login secure. Provide accurate information and do not use BuildMode for unlawful, abusive, harmful, or deceptive purposes.

Subscriptions, Billing, and Cancellation

BuildMode may offer free access, trials, or paid subscriptions. Current public pricing is a 7-day Self-Guided trial with a card on file, then $39.99 per month or $399 per year unless canceled or unless a different price is shown at checkout. Self-Guided includes up to 40 Ask messages per day. BuildMode Accountability Partner may be offered separately at $99 per month when limited support seats are open, with one weekly review, up to 3 async support messages per week, and a 1 business day response target. Billing is handled by Stripe or the applicable payment provider.

You can manage or cancel billing from Account > Manage Billing in the BuildMode app when a billing account exists. Cancellation stops future renewal but does not automatically refund prior charges. Unless required by law or stated otherwise at checkout, there are no refunds for partial billing periods.

Tribe and Tribe Rules

If you use Tribe or tribe features, post only content you have the right to share. Do not harass others, post illegal content, share private information without permission, impersonate others, or provide medical instructions to other users. We may remove content or restrict access if needed to protect the service or users.

User Content

You keep ownership of content you submit. You grant BuildMode permission to use, store, process, display, and analyze that content as needed to operate, personalize, protect, and improve the service.

Privacy and Data

Our Privacy Policy explains what we collect and how we use it. By using BuildMode, you agree that your information may be processed as described there.

Acceptable Use

You may not interfere with BuildMode, attempt unauthorized access, scrape or reverse engineer the service, abuse AI features, upload malware, or use the app to harm yourself or others.

Service Changes

We may change, suspend, or discontinue features at any time. We may also update these Terms as BuildMode changes. Continued use after updates means you accept the updated Terms.

Disclaimers

BuildMode is provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent allowed by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, availability, and error-free operation.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, BuildMode will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, health outcomes, or reliance on coaching suggestions.
